Engaged Learning
Engaged learning maximizes the undergraduate experience by extending education beyond the classroom and connecting academic knowledge with meaningful, real-world application. Through experiences such as internships, conferences, undergraduate research, service-learning, study abroad, clinical shadowing, and community partnerships, students apply concepts learned in their coursework while developing the critical thinking, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills essential for success in healthcare and other professions. These transformational learning opportunities encourage students to integrate knowledge across disciplines, deepen their understanding of the human experience, and cultivate the professional and personal competencies needed to become compassionate, thoughtful leaders.
