Careers
A major in medical humanities is intended primarily for undergraduate students who are planning to careers in healthcare. We have many pre-medical, pre-dental, pre-physician assistant and nursing students in addition to students seeking careers in allied health fields such as pharmacy, social work, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. We also have students who are interested in pursuing careers in health education, public health, community health and healthcare administration, all of whom are well-served by this course of study.
Our graduates are employed by hospitals and clinics of all kinds, in fields ranging from primary care, medical and surgical specialties, and a variety of subspecialties in many clinical areas such as physical or occupational therapy departments, radiology departments, and emergency rooms. The possibilities are endless. You will also find our graduates in pharmacies, other ancillary medical services, serving as health educators, and working in public health departments.
